Kids are America's most precious and most at-risk citizens. With drugs and peer pressure facing them on a daily basis, it's no wonder that mental illness and drug abuse is at an all time high. Problems facing American children.

well it wasn't *that* long ago - I'm only 29 - but I do have a long memory - for better or worse. I actually have a blog post brewing on the topic of my memory and how it's shaped me.

Mrs. M,

Thank you for your kind words.

Our children are my wife and my biggest, biggest investments.

Whatever we do, it seems it may not be enough.

Cheers

DFR,

You are right, sometimes indirect communication works better. I am happy that my girls are reading my blog which has links to other useful and relevant posts, like yours.

I am trying to get them used to the idea of reading pf blogs as part of their saily routine, hopefully replacing some of their incessant chatting times....hehe

Thanks for dropping by.

Father, in my experience children listen to other people's parents' advice rather than their own in their late teens and earlier 20s. Perhaps I should have my son read your post, and you could have your daughters read mine?

Hi, Emily.

I am impressed that you remember the lessons your father taught so long ago. And the positive impact the lessons had on you.

I hope my girls will read and be equally inspired by your story.

Best regards
